The Colour of our minds

What if crows were white,
Or off white,
Would our hearts still not look down upon them as ravens, as scarecrows,
Or,
As inauspicious;

But then,
Our hearts are red,
Our skins are brown,
And that of crows aren’t neither,

What then is the colour of our rusted minds?
Brown again like rust;

The poem ‘The Colour of Our Minds’ is composed by Saikh Md. Sabah Al-Ahmed, Guwahati Assam, India
